DMRS

Directed Mutagenis - Restriction Site

DMRS is a software written in Python. It helps you to design probe to insert a mutagenesis in a DNA sequence. The probe will also insert a restriction site to test for the presence of the mutagenesis.

You can type your sequence or import a FASTA sequence. You select the amino acid you would like to change. Then you choose in the list the amino acid to insert and validate.

The processing will start and the software will give you different possible strategies.

Online Version is Accessible Here :

DMRS Online

This Online version is built with Flask and Python.
It contains, for the moment, less functionnalities than the Desktop Version.
It runs on a Raspberry PI Model 1B. For this reason, it can be quite slow depending on your sequence.

Apart from being Operation Support Engineer at Octapharma SAS, I enjoy creating tools that simplify my work, but also the work of my colleagues.
During my studies at the ESBS (École Supérieure de Biotechnologie de Strasbourg), I developed DMRS as a tool helping Biotechnologist to perform simple Quick Mutation.

I am still listening to any suggestions for improving DMRS or adding new functionnalities.
